In South African the township youth culture is called “Pantsula”: it stands for a lifestyle characterised by screaming clothes and just as flashy dance moves performed on the street, accompanied by highly energetic music. The South African Via Katlehong Dance Company has emerged from an ambitious township project. These days, they bring the (further developed) street dance to the world with irresistible enthusiasm.
