Creative Process
the body's potential
Drawing from Body-Mind Centering (BMC), this workshop emphasizes the qualitative presence of our movement, the body's potential for problem-solving, and how these elements can be shaped into dance making beyond our technical and imaginative habits. Sourcing the physiological systems work of BMC, our process investigates in solo, duo and trio forms how to create choreographic work that is driven neither purely by design concerns nor by psychological intent, but by the body's perceptual problem-solving in negotiating relationship to a context. This workshop is oriented toward the experienced performer.
