Contemporary Technique
the relationship between how and what you dance

Chrysa Parkinson is an independent dancer and teacher from New York and was awarded a “Bessie“ (New York Dance and Performance Award) for sustained achievement as a performer. “The development of physical and expressive range is encouraged by a simple, function oriented, sense based warm-up drawn from innate physical patterns. Perceiving the personal geometry of the body's anatomy and connecting that to the imagination, as well as playing with various approaches towards performing set material are my primary concerns.”
