"Jours Blancs"

In her most recent piece, "Jours Blancs", the Austrian choreographer Saskia Hölbling places her body in a threatening environment that undermines her commonplace gestures with desire, fear and frustration. The pressure from the surroundings empties out the solo dancer's body so that in the end it appears closed and impermeable. After three body-analytical works "exposition-corps", "superposition-corps" and "Your body is the shoreline" Hölbling now turns to the context that surrounds the subject and which alienates it from itself: is this dancing body really still her own?
