Johanne Saunier & Alexander Lonquich on the piano (B/I)
„Urban Bubbles - A study in old and new listening technics“

One piece carries the title "das überkreuzen beyder hände" ("crossing both hands"), the second, "10 Variations in G" and the third, " Urban Bubbles – A study in old and new listening techniques." Altogether the most celebrated composer this year is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The "Mozart Choreographies" evening brings three exceptional contemporaries of the dance world together all working with Mozart in quite different ways: Austrian Philipp Gehmacher, Belgian Johanne Saunier and Spaniard Salva Sanchis. The top-level pianist from Trier, Alexander Lonquich, accompanies the dancers on their way around Mozart's sonic globe - Gehmachers Solo with the "Fantasy KV 475", Sanchis’ duet with ten variations of "Unser dummer Pöbel meint" (KV 455) and Saunier's trio with the "Sonata KV 310."
