Ibrahim Quraishi is looking for participants for his research!

Ibrahim Quraishi is artist-in-residence at ImPulsTanz 2010: „Simply put, I am working on the concept of Begeisterung - this is the idea that you can bring a spirit into an object. It is related to my research on two works that I am currently in the midst of developing. One is a new commission from HAU 2011 (Berlin) and the other is a continuation of a piece I started last year that will be presented at Frascati (Amsterdam). It is dealing with the physical presence of human bodies negotiating with physical objects of varying shapes and sizes as a transmission beyond the ordinary handling. The research is about the close proximation of the intrinsic relationship of bodies and objects within a philosophy of objectification and subjectification.

The research will happen on Saturday August 7 + Sunday August 8, 11 am - 5 pm and on August 14, 11 am - 5 pm.
