AUDITION IDA - Institute for Dance Arts
im Rahmen von ImPulsTanz 2009
am
26. Juli 2009, ab 10:00 Uhr, Arsenal (Ghegastraße, Objekt 19, Burgtheater-Probebühne & ART for ART-Werkstätten, 1030 Wien)
The IDA is a higher education for young talented dancers.
We offer a
3 years bachelor program in contemporary dance and a
4 year program in dance pedagogic.
The training at the
Institute for Dance Arts (IDA) is multifaceted and dynamic like the contemporary dance scene itself. The future contemporary dance artists will be educated by an imparted team consisting of international accredited teachers and artists/choreographers. The IDA provides the students with technical as well as with artistic and creative abilities and knowledge in order to be ready and prepared for the professional dance-field.
The main artictic subjects include traditional dance techniques such as classical balett as well as contemporary dance techniques and dance forms which reflect the contemporary knowledge aboout the human body, it´s biology and physiology, it´s emotionality, it´s resourses and mechanisms and it´s communitanional potential.
With the use of repertory, improvisation, movement research and performance the IDA creates an educational environment which is based on traditional cognisance of dance and in which the students are supported and asked to step into new challenges and performance-situations.
Theory and the practical experiences are stronly linked to each other by the use of an e-learning program which has been developed together with the Institute for Dance Science at the University of Salzburg, and therefore allows the contestation with performative art in connection with theory.
