JoLeia Maffei graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor`s of fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan where she received the Gertrude Heubner Award for Excellence in Dance. Since moving to New York, she has performed with several companies including the Dance Companies of Milton Myers and Larry Richardson and many independent choreographers. Jolea Maffei has served as a teaching assistant to Milton Myers since 1988, travelling throughout the US and Europe. She is currently teaching Horton modern dance technique at City College and STEPS studio in New York.
