Stephen Petronio started to dance at the age of 18. After working with Steve Paxton and the legendary Channel Z, he was the first male dancer to join the Trisha Brown Company in 1979, where he remained ahighly regarded member, dancing in all major wirks until 1986. Since 1984 he is heading over his own company, and is internationally acclaimed for his inventive, expressive force and virtuosity.
