Eduard Gabia was born in 1979. He graduated from the "Floria Capsali" High School of choreography in Bucharest. In 1998, he received a grant from the T-Junction and Project DCM to study in Vienna with American choreographer Wally Cardona. Between 1997 and 2000, he collaborated as a dancer with a series of European choreographers, such as Karin Ponties and Charles Linehan (UK). Since autumn 2001, Gabia has been a resident choreographer of the Project DCM Foundation. His own works, such as "5 minutes of my life (1999)" and "The Old Man from the Border (2000)" have been presented in well-known festivals all over Europe.
