Artist
Keriac (1941 -2005) (US)
Keriac, dancer, choreographer, founder and director of the DanceVision Institute in San Francisco, has been teaching and performing for over 30 years in Germany and France. She trained with members of the Martha Graham and Jose Limon dance companies and with Anna Halprin at Tamalpa Institute before discovering her love of Contact Improvisation and New Dance in 1977.

Her experiences in other artistic fields (university degrees in Sculpture and Art Education and in the theater as actor and director) had an essential influence on her dancing path. Since 1986 Keriac has developed the program of the DanceVision Institute currently teaching New Dance Performance in the full-time program for emerging dance artists called "Dancing Together", which has taken place in Stuttgart, Germany and in DanceGround Keriac Studio in San Francisco. In 1995 “Keriac & Company” dance troupe toured Switzerland and Germany with Keriac’s multi-media choreography, “Above Begins Below”.
