David Hochoy (US)
In 1989 David Hochoay was invited to join the Martha Graham Dance Company, and was made a soloist in 1982. Among the Roles he has danced are the Penitent in "El Penitente", the Man in Yellow in "Diversion of Angels" and the Messenger of Death in "Clytemnestra". In 1986 he was asked by Miss Graham to assume duties of rehearsal Director for her Company, a position he held until 1989. As a dancer and rehearsal director, he has been involved in the creation of eleven of Miss Graham`s Ballets, chief among them being "The rite of spring" and "Temptations of the moon". David Hochoy teaches at the Martha Graham School and is a faculty member at the American Dance Festival.
