Oumar Fandy Diop started playing the drums when he was 5 years old and soon became a „tambour major“, a master drummer. He now works as a percussion teacher at the University of St. Louis and at Germaine Acogny‘s International Centre for Traditional and Contemporary African Dance. Together with his own percussion group „Sabar Groupe“ he successfully tours throughout Africa and Europe.
