Born in Montreal, Louise Lecavalier is a professional dancer since 1977. She joined La La La Human Steps in 1981 and went on to perform in each of the company's production up until Salt in 1999. She gives occasionally workshops and master classes at dance festivals, as well as at New York University. She is also working as a free-lance dancer.
