Philippine-born Gerald Casel grew up in San Jose, California and studied dance in New York at The Juillard School. Since then he has had the pleasure of dancing with Stephen Petronio Company (1991 - 1998), Zvi Gotheiner and Dancers, Stanley Love Performance Group, Michael Clark and The Metropolitan Opera Ballet among others. In 1997 a New York Dance and Performance Award (Bessie) was awarded to him. Since 1998 he is showing his own work. Gerald is a sought-after guest teacher at institutions such as Movement Research, Dansens Hus Copenhagen etc.
