From 1985-1992, Lance Gries was a featured and "Bessie" award winning dancer with the Trisha Brown Company. Since then, he has been creating and performing his own work in various venues in New York City, as well as Europe, Australia, and South America. He is a renowned teacher, having taught workshops and masterclasses throughout the world and for many European companies. He is currently a key teacher at Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's P.A.R.T.S., a new school for contemporary dance in Brussels.
