Alan Onickel is an internationally renowned teacher, performer, and choreographer. Alan has been dancing most of his life and has taught Tap and Jazz at Broadway Dance Center, The School of Ballet and Theatre Dance, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and the Phil Black studio.

He has been a faculty member for Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, New York City Dance Alliance, Society of Teachers of Dance (Australia), International Groupe des 8 (France), IDTA (South Africa), the Belgian Ministry of Culture and has given master class workshops in Japan, Brazil, Israel, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.
