Born in Italy and educated in classical ballet with several years of professional experience in New York, Cristina Caprioli has been living in Sweden now for 15 years. She has been choreogaphing for her company ccap, teaching on a regular basis and curating thematic festivals with seminars, lectures and performances such as "talking dancing" (1997) and "movement is a woman" (2000). In 2001 she has been appointed Director of Choreography Department at the University College of Dance in Stockholm.
