Mamadou Touré was playing the djembe since his early childhood. After numerous collaborations with musdic und dance groups in Northern and Central Africa (Ballet Koteba, Mosaique Calédonienne) he moved to Paris. Mamadou Touré toured with Mory Kanté, and is currently working with Georges Momboye as wll as heading over his own ensemble Saraman.Percussion. He is a well appreciated teacher of African Percussion in both Europe and Northern America. Mamadou Touré was also musiscian at the Sommertanzwochen 1998.
