The dancer, actor, singer, choreographer and teacher matt Mattox made his debut in Los Angeles in 1937. In the forties and fifties he toured America and Australia as a dancer, actor and choreographer. In 1959 he made his first choreography for the Metropolitan Opera. Matt Mattox appeared in numerous Broadway productions and many MGM films. He was awarded many important prizes for his choreographies. The American artist who is now living in France is one of the most ambigous and prominent representatives of Jazz dance.
