Willi Dorner studied movement evaluation graphics as part one of his education in dance therapy at the conservatory of Vienna and at Austrian Society of Dance Therapy. Lateron he studied Modern Dance and Contact Improvisation in the USA and France at the Erick Hawkins School of Dance, the School for Body Mind Centering (Bonnie Baingridge-Cohen) and as well with the contact dancers Andrew Harwood, Nancy Stark-Smith, Danny Lepkoff and Nina Martin. Willi Dorner also worked together with the choreographer Mark Tompkins on and with video and contact improvisation and lead his own company with which he was at ImPulsTanz regularly since 1992.
