Mary Overlie (US)
Mary Overlie was one of the leading personalties of Performane Art in the 70’s in New York. Besides her active carrier she was responsible for the founding of Movement Research. She was one of the first teachers of the Experimental Theatre Wing at the NYU, one of the initiators and over five years coordinator of PRO SERIES and adviser at the setting-up of A.T. de Keersmaekers P.A.R.T.S. and of the Modern Dance Education School in Kopenhagen. After ten years of teaching and performing in Europe she went back to North America and founded the Viewpoint Institute.
