Melissa Matson has been a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique since 1987. She studied at the American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York City, after a professional dance career. Additional studies, with Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen in Body Mind Centering; and Pat Ogden in Hakomi, Body Centered Psychotherapy, have supported her personal approach to the work. Currently, Ms. Matson is the director of education for Alexander Bewegung Institute, an Alexander teacher training center in Linz, Austria, and an adjunct professor at the College of Santa Fe, teaching dance, improvisation, and the Alexander Technique (www.alexander-bewegung.com)
