Artist
João de Bruco (BR)
COMPAGNIE JOÃO DE BRUÇO
Joao de Bruco is wellknown for his musical performance cooperations with numerous choreographers such as Jorma Uotinen, Carolyn Carlson, Régine Chopinot, José Navas. His special performances integrating movement, music, clownesque elements and scenic poetry are highly appreciated as well. He is one of those few perfoming artists incredibly versatile and at home in various disciplines. His works ”Don Quixote in Concert", ”Der Fall des Ikarus", ”Franz Joseph", ”Ray Mondo”, to name but a few, have been partly developed in cooperation with the musician Otto Lechner. Joao teaches Experimental Choreography at the Bruckner Conservatory Linz and has been a member of our faculty for many years.
