Alma Söderberg works as a choreographer, performer and performer-musician after having studied flamenco, contemporary dance and choreography. She recently graduated from SNDO, the choreography department at the Amsterdam school of arts and is currently working with several projects in Holland, Sweden and Germany. Her pieces Freedom of Speech(together with Jolika Sudermann) and Entertainmenthave won the prizes 100 grad Berlin audience prizeand Its festival choregraphy award.She is currently touring with her latest pieces A Talk (together with Jolika Sudermann) and her solo Cosas was selected for Aerowaves, a cross border dance performance network, and will be shown at several venues around Europe. Alma Söderberg makes performances where sound, movement and speech are equally important and in her eclectic practice she is constantly re-discovering how intertwined the three are. She also plays the drums and sings in John the Housebandtogether with Anja Muller, Dennis Deter, Roger Sala and Melkorka Sigridur.
