Dirk Stermann (* 1965 in Duisburg) is German radio and tv personality, cabaret artist and author, who lives and works in Austria. After he graduated from high school he fulfilled the civilian service and started studying history and theatre sciences. He abandoned the studies and lives in Vienna since 1987. Since 1988, he works for the Austrian broadcasting company ORF; since 1990 he is one part of the duo Stermann & Grissemann, together with Christoph Grissemann, with whom amongst others he moderated the satire show "Salon Helga" at radio. Since 1997 he also works for Radio Eins, where he and his partner host the radio show "Show Royale". Dirk Stermann is married to journalist Christine Schatz and has one daughter. Since 2004, he presents the protest song contest at Viennese Rabenhof Theater, since 2007 Christoph Grissemann and Dirk Stermann are hosts of the TV talkshow Willkommen Österreich.
