Michikazu Matsune, born in Kobe, lives and works in Vienna. Matsune is an artist working in the field of performance and installation, exploring diverse contexts and formats, often in interaction with the audience. He developed projects such as "Zeichensturm", a stage piece in sign language with deaf performers and "store" in collaboration with David Subal, a shop where performances have been sold. His recent works include "Tourist Office" (steirischer herbst 2011), a tourist information centre that recommends real and fictional places and "Hello2111" (Wiener Festwochen 2011), an exhibition with presents for the audience in one hundred years.
