Matija Ferlin was born 1982 in Pula, Croatia. He began his dance education at the age of six at the local dance studio for children in Pula and was a member of Pula's National Youth Theatre between 1995-2000. He is a graduate of The School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. Matija has presented and performed his own work in Croatia, Portugal, Germany and The Netherlands. His work includes several short movies, exhibitions and stage performances. He has collaborated with Maja Delak, Ame Henderson, Keren Levi, Martin Butler, David Zambrano and Mauricio Ferlin and many others. Since 2007, Matija has been living and working in Pula, Croatia. He dances in Sasha Waltz' »Gezeiten«.
