Christine Gaigg will transform the blue salon in the Sophiensäle
into a musical-choreographic experiment in which part of
Stravinskys original score can be heard together with new compositions
by Max Nagl. Through the effective design and installation of sound
and space, the spectator is drawn into the event. A situation similar
to a ritual evolves in which everybody is involved. These participants
include three dancers who dance solos one after the other and with the
help of choreographic instructions go as far as their physical limits.
The starting point for Sacre Material is not the interpretation
of the victim-subject but an analysis of the original work of 1913 and
its social reality today.
