It is not without humour and horror that B.D.C./Tom Plischke think about
dance and its history in events for television (again)".
This performance refers both to an early 20th century classic - Vaslav
Nijinskys Le sacre du printemps" set to music by Igor
Stravinsky - as well as to an icon of the modern spirit, Merce Cunningham.
William Burroughs text passages draw the piece together. The central
subject is disciplining the body through dance.

reconstruction: "Affectos Humanos",
(1962) von Dore Hoyer: Martin Nachbar, Waltraud Luley
Three ultimately inexplicable basic human emotions - hate, desire and
fear - are the focus of this project. In the sixties this subject inspired
the dancer and choreographer Dore Hoyer to create a five-part cycle
entitled Affectos Humanos. Martin Nachbar dances without
music in Hoyers costume with a microphone in front of his face.
The sound track of his breathing follows after him and can be heard
when he stands still - for the entire duration of the dance.
